It is another sunrise

Welcome to … sARTurday

There is always a new dawn, a new day, a new opportunity to …

… please fill in the blanks.

Obviously for me the first thing that comes to mind is – create. Drawing and taking/editing photos are my things. The ones that bring me joy, fulfill me and also calm me. I feel centered and balanced when I can draw. And excited and in my element when I am taking/editing photos.

So, today I will be sharing with you a few photos of my happy place, by the ocean, that I took on the Outer Banks, NC. These are all iPhone photos, unedited except for the basics. I’ll also throw in a drawing that I have done while being down there.

Hope you like this mix of me and will be linking up your creations.

Cheers,

claudia3

p.s. and once again – apologies for the poor website layout at the moment

If I have time I will be linking with one or more of the fine people in this collection – check them out!

  1. I too use my digital art to escape from the real world … a new day , if you read the paper of listen to the news, is nothing but stressful. Our world seems to be changing in ways I can’t abide and so I have to look the other way to keep from pulling my hair out (I won’t look the other way when it is time to vote though ). So glad you are back. Took me most of the day to find you, but so glad I did. Thank you for commenting on my blog … that is how I knew to look for you:) Love your pictures of the ocean … hope you weren’t near it when Mathew when through. I have friends who live there and they say it was really bad and still is for many. Love your art .. admire it because I am not good at creating my own without the help of the computer. Welcome back Claudia … looking forward to another run of s-A(R)T-urday Art Linkup 🙂

  2. Mmm.. gives me peace. I had a boyfriend who used to talk with my mom about how every day there’s a sunrise and every day a sunset, and how many times do we stop to watch? It’s like two shows every day. Sometimes it’s more obvious to look – clear nights. Blood moons. Beaches. And other times, I really have to remind myself, but it’s still magnificent!

  3. You know sunsets are my aesthetic!! I could never have enough of your gorgeous sunny vacation shots. And I am loving the style of drawing –the characters are so fresh. I’ve been writing more than taking pictures lately. I suppose after a summer that resulted in about 500 photos, I guess I’m a bit overwhelmed at the moment. But inspired daily.

  4. Beautiful sunrise. Glad you got to enjoy your vacation despite the hurricane coming your way! Love the drawing. Going to show it to Ally since she’s been trying her hand at figures. 🙂

  5. Good morning Claudia, what lovely photos. I’m not keen on iPhones, but I have to give them credit when it comes to their cameras. I never get fed up of looking at photos of the sunrise or sunset!

I love your sketch too. I would love to be able to sit and sketch something that looked like something, but even my stick men are questionable looking!

    xx
