Welcome to my s~A(R)T~urday linky party – today: Christmas Crystal
“When I say artist I mean the one who is building things … some with a brush – some with a shovel – some choose a pen.”
~ Jackson Pollock ~
Do you feel the Christmas cheer? For some reason this year I do not. Very much. We decided not to have a Christmas tree and we have hardly any decorations up. Maybe it has got to do with the amount of work, maybe with the strange weather – no complaints as I like it warm, but – it is unusual. Although, last night it was freezing. But it won’t last. That’s o.k.
I wanted to show you the gremlin animation from our game, but I ran into a little problem with the program, converting it to video. Soooo, I think I may have another post outside my usual schedule soon. Until then, and if I don’t see you again sooner, I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and happy Holidays!
And, of course, I hope you will enjoy your weekend.

Those Swarovski glass crystal really are beautiful. Luckily I have got two more.
I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas time, too, Monica.

A beautiful decoration!! Love it. It seems made of ice they way you have captured it.
I find I don’t really feel the Christmas spirit myself until some decorations and the tree is up. Some Christmas carols playing in the background. All the spirit is there.. swirling under the surface; but I need to “set the scene” to coax it out to full blossom. Otherwise, it does tend to feel and look like any other ordinary day.
Also, we got sn*w today. So that helps. Kinda. It’s the kind that melts quick, so I will allow. LOL

Thanks, Les, the ‘ice-like’ is what I loved about the Topaz edit.
I’m happy for you that you made your Christmas scene and are now set to enjoy it. And I agree with that s-word. Thankfully we are no where near to getting some any time soon.

Christmas is not one of my holidays and also, in my family, it has always been geared towards the children. Now that my grandchildren are not close by and we do not have Christmas at my house anymore, I stopped decorating years ago. But also, I am one of those who, if they like something a lot, it stays out all year so I do have a couple of Santas and bits of winter decorations sitting about all year (just like Halloween – LOL).

In most families I know it is also more for the children, and that’s o.k. I like that you leave out the things you love all year. We are similar e.g. the ‘Christmas’ star from two years is still shining its light and all year round 🙂

Ooh! Claudia, I love this. It is very magical. I may take you up on the offer of using your work with my writing, in the new year. Of course, you would get the appropriate credit. I really love your work. Hugs.

It makes me happy that you like this image and also that you are considering to combine both our works. Just let me know.
December 20, 2015 /
Absolutely. If and when I do, I will run it past you first. Thanks!

Great! I look forward to it – just give me bit of time, because… you know… me and time 🙂
Enjoy your Sunday, Annie.

Merry Christmas to you dear Claudia – I love your beautiful photo which speaks volumes of Christmas spirit to me, even if you’re not feeling it yet – if you look closely it also reminds me of the crystal I have hanging from the wreath in my “Living Nativity” photo shoo!
Have a blessed week!

And a merry Christmas to you, Ramona. I am glad you like the photo and yes, it was taken at Christmas, but last year. I really wanted to have a little Christmas on my website this year, too. And now I need to have a closer look at your wreath.

Thank you very much, Pat. I had fun with the edit (and photo).

Love the crystal! It has such an angelic feel to it. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas!

Thank you so much, Aditi, I’m happy you like it. I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas time, too.

I didn’t feel too much Christmas spirit until this weekend. Spending a few days with my mom, listening to Christmas songs and eating her homemade cookies helped a lot. 🙂 Love that crystal ornament. I bought the 2015 Swarovski crystal ornament for someone this Christmas and it’s stunningly beautiful. Hope they will like it. Merry Christmas! See you soon… (So excited!!!)

Yeah, I really don’t know what it is, but – it is what it is. I am just hoping for some quiet and creative times now. And, of course, finally meeting you – woohoo! Have a good flight and see you soon 🙂
p.s. this is either 2013 or 2014, 2015 has not been photographed yet. I love glass ornaments.

I love it! Icy. Spirited. Gets me in the spirit.
Many of us are looking for our Christmas cheer. Where the heck is it? And can we get it by Friday?

Claudia, I’m flipping through some of your archived photo artwork when I found this shot. I just love it – beautiful capture and very Christmasy! This would make an excellent image for a Christmas card. 😉
