As promised in Friday’s post I am having a (very) late Fine Art Friday. On Sunday. Better late than never, right?
This photo was taken for and during my Graveyard Art series together with Debbi of Twistedpixelstudio. Since then we both have been pursuing our separate projects, which for me mostly meant 8-5-work and no new photos. Of course, the weather wasn’t very cooperative i.e. motivating either. There are still patches of snow and it is freezing cold. But the sun is out and the skies are blue, so I may sneak out later to finally take a few new photos.
But for today I blended five, well, actually six photos including a texture (called so aptly ‘sunday’) from Kim Klassen, to get this single photo for my Fine Art Friday. In a previous post I had asked if you would like me to explain how I made a certain photo. Among the answers was: HDR, how do you…? This photo here actually is a HDR composition. So, in my next post I will show you how I did this one.

Thank you for being my reader.
That’s pretty awesome. I’m still slightly scared to dive deeper into what I can do with Photoshop Elements. I know, there are things I can do with layer etc. but I’ve been sticking to some basic editing for now. I need to take some time and watch some tutorials on how to get the most out of it. π
Thank you, Susi! That’s, in my opinion, the only way to go. Learn the basics 1) of taking pictures with your camera and 2) only then delve into the endless possibilities of Photoshop & Co.
Awesome Claudia! Looking forward to reading your tutorial! The picture is very interesting and of course speaks to my heart!!
Thank you, Debbi. I wanted to write it for a while, so announcing it will push me a little π
Such an interesting photo. I love the shapes and lighting.
Thank you very much, AllyJo. The ‘lighting’ is part of the HDR, which I will explain next.
Oh! That looks amazing! I’m really glad you posted it even though it’s a little later too – I’d love to read about the technique π
Thank you, Vivid. Make sure to check back – within the next week I should have part I of the tutorial up.
I can’t wait to read your tutorial, I have seen HDR here and there but never got a chance to look it up and I still haven’t had time to learn photoshop π
I love ALL your photos, they are amazing!
Last but not least thank you for sharing them at our party π
Thanks BiTi. HDR is pretty amazing. As with everything you can go over the top with it, but it is always in the eye of the creator, right?
