2nd week of November’s Art Every Day and also in NaBloPoMo

November 12th

Today is sARTurday – Saturday art – and Day #12 of AEDM and NaBloPoMo – and no writing prompt today.

Sorry that my posts are really short these days, well, maybe not sorry, because you might like them that way. But one of the reasons is that my best friend from way back is visiting for a few days. She has gotten a few days off from her family and ‘escaped’ to have some ‘her-time’. Disclaimer: She loves her family and so do I. But who doesn’t need some time for themselves every now and then? I certainly do.

So, anyways, she got here on Wednesday and I picked her up from the airport. After dropping off the suitcase at home we went straight to the spa to get a mani/pedi. Deluxe, of course, so we had ample time happily chatting away. Sooo good.

Thursday I worked till early afternoon, we had lunch and in the evening went to my hair salon and both did some new color. Funky color in my case. Hopefully I’ll get a nice picture over the weekend, then you’ll see what I mean with funky.

Friday after work we went shopping. Have I mentioned that I hate shopping? It is of course something else when you go shopping with your best friend once every two or three years. It was fun. Dinner was our almost traditional Friday sushi and it did not disappoint.

And now – time for some manga fun. This manga panel is pretty much colored and almost finished. A few details are missing and other minor things like – the text! Any idea what the text is going to be? I will show you mine in one of the next days, but if you have an idea, I’m all ears.Happy weekend!

Cheers,

claudia3

  2. Hey – I managed to steal a few moments away and can link up my story from today. I won’t be able to visit others probably until I get back home. So nice that your friend is here and you are having a good time from the sound of it. You know I LOVE that funky hair – can’t wait to see more pics. The drawing is really coming along. I love the colours you used. No idea about text though??? It’s been a long day, I’ll have to ponder on that.

  3. What a wonderful compliment to have your friend choose to spend quality ‘me’ time with you.
I think everyone can relate to loving their family, but needing to escape to recharge every once in a while.
    Enjoy! 😀
