~ NYC sunset ~
This is one of the shots of the sunset last week that I took with my DSLR and edited in Lightroom. For a panorama shot of the same sunset with my iPhone click to my previous post.
*** Here is where I link up today. ***
Please help me spread the word about my Saturday Art Linkup and grab my badge below:
I hope that over time we will be building a community dedicated to art and creating. I rather like these words said by Andy Warhol:
“Don’t think about making art, just get it done.
Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.
While they are deciding, make even more art.”
Claudia, ahh, I love the swirly sunburst clouds against that gorgeous rich blue sky! This photo is truly breath catching and that’s not because of the walk to the top, either. lol Thanks for visiting and linking up, my friend. Have a fototastic week!
Thankfully you don’t have to walk to the top, rather it’s a very fast and smooth elevator. But if you stand and listen closely you’ll hear me muttering the whole time ‘please keep going, please don’t fall, please…’ Me big chicken!
Incredible capture.
Happy WW!
Thank you so much, Indrani – the right time at the right place.
Sooooo pretty. I like that red lettering on that one building. I am terrified of heights so the top of the Empire State Building is not a place I think I will ever find myself. 🙂
Hahaha – only you! Only you could point out the H&M lettering – ROFL. And you know what? I have never been on top of the Empire State always the Rock. But I’ve been told the Rock is better anyway
What a beautiful capture I have always wanted to see NY since Cagney and Lacey LOL
Have a sunsettastic week 🙂
Cagney & Lacey – oh my, showing our age here, are we? 🙂 I haven’t actually watched the show, (did it play in NYC?) but I picture the two actresses.
So beautiful.
It sure was – thank you very much.
Oh wow! Hey — I think I found your one good thing!! 🙂
That is postcard perfect. I’m gonna “ssshhhh” and just stare for awhile.
This sure was good, but – it was not ‘one good thing’ 🙂 This here happened before my ‘bad day’. But all is good again, well, mostly.
I hope things improve. Sounds like we both are stuck in the winter blah mode! I definitely need to carve out some creative time for myself very soon. Everything I do these days is for others and I know a person can’t keep that up for long.
Total blah mode. It is Monday morning and while it is always a bit of a struggle that day, today is worse. I am pretty much dreading to get dressed and go to work. I have had that feeling before. And I don’t like it at all. I like my work, but… sigh… it will get better again. Staying positive is the key!
Absolutely gorgeous. I miss it…
I know how you feel, Susi. I can live very well without NYC, but at some point I am really looking forward to visiting again.
Just beautiful.
Thank you very much. It was painted by nature.
Wow – what a capture!
Right time, right place – plus a camera at hand 🙂 Thanks, Jade.
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with all of us!
Thank you, Cat, and you are very welcome. Thanks for stopping by!
Beautiful pic.
Thanks a lot!
gorgeous! #photo friday
Thanks so much, Tanja.
Stunning!
Thank you, Tiffany. Catching a sunset in the right place…
What a great shot! The colors are so vibrant and dramatic.
Thank you very much, Ruth. I got lucky that this particular day it was such a pretty (and cloudy) sundown.
Wow that view is incredible. I so want to visit New York
Thank you for linking up
I bet you’d bring home tons and tons of awesome photos, Darren. There are unlimited opportunities for great shots, including HDRs, which you seem to have developed a liking for 🙂 Thank you for hosting and stopping by!
That is absolutely stunning #MySundayPhoto
Thank you so much. I was in the right place at the right time 🙂
What a great Sunset! We took a similar one from the Top of the Rock too when we visited in November x #MySundayPhoto x
Yep, a lot of folks have similar experiences and photos, but, trust me, there are days when it is quite dull. But in any case it is quite the experience, right?
What a great photo the urban landscape is beautiful.
Thanks so much, Fiona. It almost doesn’t matter where in NYC you are, there is always something to take photos of.
This is a very beautiful sunset! The view from so high up really adds a whole new dimension.
Oh yes! And guess what, I am terribly afraid of heights. But for that view and photo opportunity I overcame it.
Awesome photo. My sister lives in NYC but I’ve never had the good fortune to see a sunset like that when visiting her. #MySUndayPhoto
