#4 / 2016 – Wordless or Wordy Wednesday
The day of winter storm Jonas
And the day after…
*** Here is where I link up today. ***
Please help me spread the word about my Saturday Art Linkup and grab my badge below:

I hope that over time we will be building a community dedicated to art and creating. I rather like these words said by Andy Warhol:
“Don’t think about making art, just get it done.
Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.
While they are deciding, make even more art.”
That’s a lot of snow Claudia!
It was and it is, Jenn. It’s still here and may stay for a while, too.
Wow! loads of snow, loved the photos 🙂
Good! Glad you liked them.
Your subdivision is lovely! I like the church photo the best. Reminds me of Germany. That dog! Almost missed seeing him he is so white! Thanks for sharing these. You both looked like you enjoyed the storm.
Did you click on the collage photos? That brings them up larger and you can really see the snow storm on the church photo (my favorite, too) and no snow-editing 🙂 We definitely enjoyed staying warm inside, and just having a quick peek outside
Didn’t know winter storms had names! *Like*

All storms seem to have names these days. Not sure if it has always been like that, but… this one really was not a bad one, as in – big.
You two are so cute! What a storm! Glad you were safe and able to have fun!
Hahaha – cute at our age 🙂 the storm sure was something. I was so glad I didn’t have to work, but could stay inside.
I love looking at the pictures from way down South, knowing I don’t have to worry about that beautiful white stuff turning into the ugly grey slush that always follows. 🙂
Exactly! I quite like the snow the way it is right now, well, like may not be the right word, but it does look pretty – until…
I know its cold and can be a problem when there is so much snow, but “I love it”
Beautiful photos!!!
Happy Wednesday!!!
Thank you very much, Karren. Yes, this much snow does tend to cause problem or two. But we are far enough up north that the DPW and other professionals know how to handle it. Meaning that we had clear roads for the most part the very next day.
The pictures are gorgeous! They remind me of our days in NY end of 2013, when suddenly a snowstorm came up and we “hid” in the Apple Store in 5th Ave. Remember?
Seems you even have a lot more of the white beauty, now. 🙂
Cheers and Happy Birthday, Dear Claudia!
Michael
Those were some fun days, Michael. I have not forgotten them. Or my very first visit of an Apple store 🙂 It was a good time. But, yes, this time the snow is sticking around a bit more.
I hope you are doing good. Any future travels planned for the coming year?
I am fine, Claudia. Thanks! One travel project is already planned, indeed. A summer holiday on Amrum! After my visit to Föhr last summer, I liked the island and the “Friesenhäuschen” so much that it was no question that I would like to come back. 🙂
How about you and David? A chance you come to Europe? We have a lot of guests these days… 😉
You have a lot of guests? That sounds interesting 🙂 No, no plans right now for Europe. Our only plan is for Bonaire early March
OMG so much snow. We are experiencing a heatwave in Perth. Would love for some cooler weather.
Well, you ARE on the other side of the world 🙂 It is always fun talking to my friends in VIC, because we always have opposite temps, obviously 🙂
Where you live looks just like a condo I had in North Brunswick. It was beautiful and new! And I loved that they would shovel for me.
Well, as you know, we got zero snow. No idea how that happened.
Yeah, these are townhouses, but there is one building at the end of the street that has apartments only. These are nice, open space and bright inside – just the way I like it.
Don’t jinx it with the snow – then again, you’re escaping, aren’t you?
Yep, you sure got your share of snow with Jonas this round, Claudia! I’m ready for spring to get here, aren’t you? I’m such a big baby. lol Thanks for linking up today, dear! Keep warm!!
Spring – that’s a magic word, Cathy. I would love for it to arrive, but I’m afraid we’ll have to wait a couple of months at least.
Psst – but I’ll go on vacation to Bonaire, which should shorten the wait.
Wow. Oh my goodness. It totally looks like a Winter Wonderland! Or that movie, White Christmas I’m reminded of. I wish it snowed here too, but I guess we’ll just have to settle for rain. 🙂
Well, you are in Cali, aren’t you? Unless your way north and high up in the mountains and even then, you won’t be seeing any snow any time soon 😉 But rain sometimes is just wonderful, I find.
So much snow. It makes for some great pictures, so crisp and sharp in contrast to the sky.
Yeah, Sunday was really beautiful to walk around, actually today as well. I had to work, but went outside for a brief break and it was gorgeous, cold and clear.
You go girl! I wish I had gone out to play but this belly kept me warm and inside and lame! I’m sure I’ll be out there next year until eternity with the kid(s)!
That’s the best of excuses one can have for not going out in this weather to play. Exactly, you just wait till next year! And the years to come 🙂

I love how all the steps down from the houses look like slides. Now that would be a fin way to get out your house everyday

True! That thought actually occurred to me, too, but it would have been slightly difficult (but fun!)
Wow, great snowy pictures. The sun is shining and fresh snow gleams.
You should see it today. It is sooo sunny. And, of course, melting the snow away, but the snow appears whiter than white right now.
It looks like you got quite the deluge of snow. I’m in the UK, but I’ve seen plenty about the snow/blizzard in the US via social media and such. I hope you’re staying safe, and warm!! The pictures you’ve shared are so crisp and clear – just beautiful!
Oh yes, this time we got hit by the snow storm. Yes, I’ve heard from friends and family overseas that the coverage in the news was wide spread there. Thankfully we are safe and warm. Thanks, Jade.
Hi. I’m popping over from #PhotoFriday to say hello. I hope you enjoyed the snow day. In Vermont we got nothing, but it’s snowing now so I’m happy. Great photos!
Thanks for the visit, Tara, I appreciate it. Yes, we sure enjoyed it and being on a Saturday meant that everything was cleared again to go to work on Monday.
Beautiful pics! The church in the snow is lovely!
Thank you very much, Ruth. The church one is actually my favorite one of the bunch, too. I think I may edit it a bit.
That snow is gorgeous!! I love taking photos in the snow, and your shots are gorgeous! <3 – http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com
Thank you very much, Gingi. It is about the only thing I like about winter. Taking shots of white landscapes and such. I used to love skiing and tobogganing, but we haven’t gone since we came to the US. Maybe one day.
wow! it’s so nice! snow has some special power to make everything look so nice, right?#photo friday
Absolutely agreed. The white blanket that covers up. Just the times when the blanket melts away aren’t quite so nice. Thanks for stopping by, Tanja.
Wow! I am so envious of your snow! I want come too! 🙂
Well, come on over and grab some, it is still here 🙂 Although currently it is melting away
