How can iphoneart look like a photoshop composite?

Welcome to … sARTurday

Here we are in round two after my summer break.  And don’t I wish I had taken a longer break… NO, I don’t. Because I love sharing my creative pieces with you, getting your feedback and in turn do the same for you.

Now what do I have today. Last week was a little how-to of a picture made in Photoshop, so today I will go ‘i’ = iphoneart. I first shared this on my Instagram account a few weeks ago. If you like to follow me go here and say ‘hello’, will you? So, yes, the below is a picture I 100 % created on my (then) iPhone 6 (I am now on the 7plus).

All photos were shot with my iPhone i.e. the grasshopper, the shroom and the cloudscape, on one of my flights to Toronto this summer. I then edited and merged it all together in Photoshop Touch, just like in the desktop version. There are a few imperfections, but – you know what? – I am trying to accept and learn that not everything has to be perfect. Especially in arts. Oh, and the bokeh, that is from an app called Lens Distortion that is just fabulous to add a little something to your creations.

Just like here, really.

I guess you could say I felt a little silly when I made this, but – what’s wrong with being silly every now and then?! Have fun and enjoy life while you can! Carpe diem.

Have you been silly lately? I honestly could use a good laugh in my life right now, so, please, hit me.

At the very least, please join me and share one of your creations with us. And remember: Have fun this weekend!

Cheers,

claudia3

Guys, did I actually ever tell you what happened on my last flight that is almost too hard to believe? The encounter I had just when the sun was setting and I looked out the window? I guess I hesitated almost too long showing you this photo that is proof: Beware of the flying grasshoppers. They will land on our Earth 🌎 anytime soon. Trust me!

  1. This is so great — I love that you got silly! And you know we spotted a grasshopper in our backyard the other day and it was HUGE!! The darn thing jumped to the top of our fence, so I totally believe you that they can fly! LOL This is so whimsical and the colours truly make it seem like a scene right out of a children’s nursery rhyme. I can just imagine riding a grasshopper into fluffy clouds.

I’ve got a house party with 12 year old boys happening today, so hopefully I can find some quiet hours tomorrow to finish a few creations I’m working on. 🙂

  2. So cool. The things we see out airplane windows inspire such imagination anyway – I love that you ran with it.
Silly? Me? Yes. I saw my family over the weekend and we told numerous childhood stories about Lindsay and me!
