Dance like no one is watching

These are my blogging prompts for today or rather tomorrow:

  1. Dance like no one is watching. Who are you when no one is watching?
  2. “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran

When your legs don’t work like they used to before
And I can’t sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?

If I were thinking out loud… o.k. I guess I am thinking out loud now – in general I am pretty much the same person no matter if someone is watching or not. But dancing? Nope, I just don’t dance very well. It all started with me having been taller than 99.9 % of my class, which kind of stayed that way. And, let’s admit it, that is not quite what you want as a woman, especially when dancing. So, basically dancing had no part in my life, until David entered it. Not that he is much taller than me, in fact we are about the same height. But dancing with David, I did not really care about if others were watching, because it just was fun and felt good. In fact we had so much fun that for years we took classical/ballroom dance lessons and went to a few big balls at the Vienna castle (Wiener Hofburg). We are hoping that one day we will be able continue where we left off (due to a health issue).

Having said that, there are those evenings when I come home from work, go to the kitchen start cooking dinner while listening to music. And it is said to have happened that depending on mood and music I was dancing around the kitchen and singing while preparing said dinner.
