Love You illustration – fare thee well sARTurday

Welcome to sARTurday – the Saturday art linkup

Dear sARTurday,

you were born two years ago, January 2015 in the hope to share more art, any kind of art. There were ups and downs in our relationship, in participation, in enthusiasm, which I believe is nothing extraordinary, but normal.

As is moving on.

I truly regret to inform you that this is going to be the last cooperation. Part of me wants to keep going on, because I love seeing all the art that was and is being shared. But I also know that the same art will still get shared, just in different ways and other channels. There are many link ups out there, for any kind of art, you just got to look and find them. You could start with my list of link ups, which I am participating in quite often.

Sadly, sARTurday did not get found, much. And I did not do a good job at promoting it enough. I do take the blame for our break-up.

There has been and still is a lot going on in my life, with my day job. And these days most of my free time I just want to create more art. And that is exactly what I am going to be doing.

Create more art.

And while creating my art I will keep filming the process and will share more and more of it with you through videos on YouTube and here. Maybe I will even be doing a live streaming one day. Have you seen those on Twitch or YouTube? Facebook, too. Those look like fun.

In any case, the end of sARTurday is here, but it is not the end of my art or your art or our community. Whenever you leave a comment I will be sure to check out your latest creations. There were and will be times when it may take me a bit longer to get back to it, because you know – life…

…life is good, with art. And you.

Cheers,

claudia3

If I have time I will be linking with one or more of the fine people in this collection – check them out!

  1. Lovely art, Claudia! Sometimes, it helps to move onto other things or maybe just have a break instead. So, you will still be participating in Paint Party Friday, won’t you? Happy PPF!

  2. I think I saw this coming … I am disappointed because I had hoped s-A(R)T-urday Art Linkup would keep on linking, but I do understand the need to move on, having done it myself in the past. I wish you well, Claudia, and hope I keep running across your art in special places. Be well, stay safe and enjoy life as an extraordinary artist .

  3. It was wonderful to see your Art here – especially the process of creating it, but I know that we will still that from you… because it is so much a part of you. I wish I had more time too! Ugh. I am finding it hard to get some balance a bit lately — it’s because I took on a temporary situation that has gobbled up most of my free time, but thankfully it will be done by the end of March. And of course Spring brings so many more photo opportunities!! Thanks for the opportunity to share — just know that you inspired me so much to keep learning more about my photography. Perhaps it’s more hobby for me, but still find so much joy in it, and in seeing others. xx

  4. I so understand your sentiment. I feel the same way about my little forays into link-ups and trying to make them grow and work. In the end this is supposed to be fun and once the fun goes out and it becomes stress then it’s probably a good thing to let it go. I can’t wait for you to share more of your art and the process of how you create it. Have so much fun in Bonaire!!!

  5. Claudia, I love the concept of your SARTurday meme and I did participate a little. The problem for me is the weekend blogging which I don’t do because I prefer spending that time with DH. I appreciate your dedication to keeping it going for two years and like you said art will get shared. I will look forward to yours whenever I visit. Have a good day, dear friend!
