Macro shots edited to black and white in Lightroom

Welcome to Monday on my blog

Saturday I did something I hadn’t done in weeks. Maybe even months. Can you guess it?

I picked up my DSLR. And I drove to the Arboretum Frelinghuysen to take some snow and ice pictures.

It was a fun walk through the snow. There were actually a couple of people cross country skiing.

I brought my LensBaby and my macro lens only. And here are some of the pictures. Obviously I am in a minimalist, black and white mood.

Enjoy and have a great week!Cheers,

If I have time I will be linking with one or more of the fine people in this collection – check them out!

  1. Claudia, wonderful B&W series! The image of the frozen water droplet is my favorite but they’re all amazing. I don’t like getting out in the snow but if we ever got a significant snowfall then I hope to be out in it shooting macros of ice and snow, too. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us, my friend!

  2. Hi Claudia, I do like black and white photos, but rarely do them myself. I love the photo in the center, the drip suspended in ice, waiting for the moment the temperature rises.

Thank you for linking up with the #MMBC

  3. These are gorgeous!!! I love that you opted for black and white. I haven’t picked my own camera up in over a month either. Although the one day in early January I did try, it was just too cold outside. But we have some warm weather this weekend, so perhaps a walk in the woods is due.
