Welcome to Monday on my blog
Saturday I did something I hadn’t done in weeks. Maybe even months. Can you guess it?
I picked up my DSLR. And I drove to the Arboretum Frelinghuysen to take some snow and ice pictures.
It was a fun walk through the snow. There were actually a couple of people cross country skiing.
I brought my LensBaby and my macro lens only. And here are some of the pictures. Obviously I am in a minimalist, black and white mood.
Enjoy and have a great week!Cheers,
If I have time I will be linking with one or more of the fine people in this collection – check them out!
Macro shots with my DSLR
edited in Lightroom only
These are great. A nice change from my landscape. 🙂
Ahhhh, wonderful. So peaceful too. I am ready for spring to be here and stay instead of the roller coaster temps. Looks like you guys got more snow.
Nice BW photos. It’s funny to go out with one fix lens and enjoy life. I like colours in my life but photos look better B+W.
They look just as good as if you’d taken them in black and white originally. I especially love the top photo with a slight lavender, pinkish tint.
Don’t know why WP takes you to an old site but here’s my link: http://chedcurtain.blogspot.com/
Claudia, wonderful B&W series! The image of the frozen water droplet is my favorite but they’re all amazing. I don’t like getting out in the snow but if we ever got a significant snowfall then I hope to be out in it shooting macros of ice and snow, too. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us, my friend!
Hi Claudia, I do like black and white photos, but rarely do them myself. I love the photo in the center, the drip suspended in ice, waiting for the moment the temperature rises.
Thank you for linking up with the #MMBC

What a lovely series of monochrome shots. These photos make me chilly but they are certainly beautiful 🙂
Stunning shots! My favorite is the ice drop, but I picked another to feature for Flower Friday!
These are gorgeous!!! I love that you opted for black and white. I haven’t picked my own camera up in over a month either. Although the one day in early January I did try, it was just too cold outside. But we have some warm weather this weekend, so perhaps a walk in the woods is due.
