Misty River Ride (to poetry)

I really love it when I get feedback from my friends out here on the interweb, social sites and, of course, in the real world. And lately there has been one singular, simple iPhone shot that had quite a few positive reactions. Not only that those friends and/or fans liked the photo, but it inspired them.

Let that sink in for a moment. Somebody else found inspiration in one of my creations. How wonderful is that?!

Let’s focus for a moment on Leslie from Time out for Mom another creative soul whose blog I have been following for a while. She has such an entertaining – I am laughing and smiling a lot while reading her posts – and honest style of writing, it is great fun to be virtual friends. She also just got a ‘Big Girl Camera’ and is already showing us some great photos.

What I was not aware of until last night is that she is also really gifted in writing prose and verse. The simple picture you see below inspired her to a beautiful and mysterious poem. Which you should definitely read – ‘Misty River Ride‘. And while you are at it, the picture she published together with the poem on here website – what do you think of that? Pretty much not bad, huh?!

  1. “Misty waters framed by blacken’d branches” – puts it in a nutshell. Very atmospheric, mystic image which you present here! I can understand that this may even inspire to such a thoughtful poem.

    All the best 🙂

And for being an inspiration in your work.

Also, I think must of us are wishing for a beach holiday…… I think we should have our own little bloggy convention some place sunny, warm and where the drinks have tiny umbrellas! which goes very nicely with #1 too. LOL
