Motionblur for Coffee Chat

It is not quite Tuesday, but there is always Coffee Chat AEDM2015time. And as usual these days, I completely forgot. I am just so pre-occupied with … other stuff, incl. my blog and website re-design. Yep, you heard that one right. I am working on a new site. Well, not new, because I really like mine. But there have been a couple of people who had issues with commenting and, frankly, I am always worried that it is loading too slow. So, I got a new framework. Nope, not Genesis, but Headway. But you’ll have to wait a bit to see it. Maybe I’ll get to it over Thangsgiving, but we have plans. Tell you more about that on Thursday.

In today’s Coffee Chat Leslie is asking ‘this or that’ and I thought I could do that fairly quickly. And who doesn’t love getting to know fellow bloggers?! So, here goes:

Heels or sneakers  – Sneakers, flats and boots, anything without a heel – unfortunately – because I am already 6’1!

Coke or Pepsi   – definitely Coca Cola

Instagram or Flickr  –  Instagram, check it out!

Tomboy or Girlie Girl  –  Tomboy, but getting mellower with age

Nap or Read  – Read (and then nap? No, I’ve never been one to nap on the couch)

Karaoke or Bowling  –   I never did Karaoke and I don’t think I ever will, unless I am totally drunk out of my mind. And bowling – can be fun if you have the right crowd to go with, but it has been about 20 years that I did.

Pizza or Sushi – I work in the pizza business, but I loooooove sushi

rain or shine  – forever sunshine

single or taken – most definitely taken

dress or jeans  – I’d love to say jeans, but due to working in the office = no jeans, I still have one or two in my closet, but don’t remember when I actually wore one last

winter or summer  – summer!!

Exercise or Couch  – each have their times, I do love some nice cuddling on the couch, but at some point I need my exercise!

Library or Cafe  –   I have to go with cafe, but I have been to our library a few times lately

Jocks or Nerds  –  This here is actually Leslie’s answer: I do love me a nerdy guy. If he can also skate or catch a ball, bonus. And when I read the answerI immediately thought of David. Does that answer the question?

Piano or Guitar   – I used to play guitar, I actually still have it

Marvel or DC – this one I am afraid I will have to give a pass, sorry Leslie. But I just don’t know enough of ‘who-is-who’. I do love the Avengers, but I also like shows like The Arrow, which I think is DC, right?

And because it is AEDM, I will leave you with an iPhone experiment in intentional motionblur, long exposure:

motion, blur, slowshutter, reflection

See you all tomorrow with another edition of Wordless Wednesday.

Don’t think about making art, just get it done.

Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.

While they are deciding, make even more art.”

  1. LOVE the photo! I saw that yesterday and stared at for a while lost in my thoughts!

I didn’t answer the piano or Guitar because I am not talented in that field, like at all.

I look forward to the new design!

    • Thanks, Tiffany. That is what pictures like these do to people who are open at heart. Make them linger and get lost – I like it.
Yeah, I used to think I was talented in the music, guitar stuff, but – not so much anymore. I still love to sing along though.
Not sure if I’ll get the site done over Thanksgiving – we have different plans (game coding).

  2. I’ve been thinking about doing a total redesign since it’s been waaaaaay too long for any major changes. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do, I might follow your lead! 🙂

You have no worries – you’re a Marvel fan like us. 😉 Arrow is Marvel – and OMG I LOVE that show! 🙂

Loved reading your answers and getting to know you a little more! 🙂

    • Exactly! Every now and then there needs to be a change, right? My current site design is the longest one I have ever had. And, as I said, I love it, but I think it may be a bit overloaded from a ‘everything is possible with this one’ pov. I don’t need that. So, we’ll see.
Hmmm, I really think Arrow is DC, but in the end it is important what we like not which company published it, right?!
Not sure if I’ll make it to your answers tonight, but definitely tomorrow, Stacy.

  3. I am back! OMG…you are 6’1″?! I am 5’2″. I liked heels, until health issues made me quit wearing them. You, however, could be a model!
I am with you, tomboy. And read, then nap. Life is too short!
I love your answers and delivery of them. I especially love your art. XO.

    • She’s back! Annie is back – woohoo! Are the computers up and running?
Hahaha – yeah, I know, I have got a few friends that are – ahem – rather short 🙂 It always looks kind funny walking through the streets together, but who really gives a damn? (Excuse my language, then again this is my space!). A model, huh?! I think not. I have way (!) too many pounds for that, plus I am too old. Well, maybe for the Gray panthers of Dove 😀

  4. I’ve heard good things about Headway but as you know I ended up with Genesis and have not looked back. Good luck and lots of fun with the redesign. Fingers crossed it won’t give you too much of a headache. Have a happy thanksgiving!!!

    • Yes, I know and I looked into Genesis quite a lot, because… but, I just could not find anything I really liked and, I don’t know, it seemed ‘limited’, but probably just because I did not dig deep enough. So, anyway, now I have got Headway and we’ll see if I like or hate it.
Have a great Thanksgiving, too, Susi!

  5. I wonder if I would still wear my high heel boots if I was closer to 6 feet tall? I have a feeling I still would, but you never know. I just love my boots!
And Arrow is DC comics, but that’s okay, I read those too. Just Captain America is my fave, so that’s why Marvel gets the win. 🙂
Love that shot! I really need to get some lessons in the new year for my camera so I can do stuff like that. I have been kinda feeling bored lately because I always feel rushed when shooting lately – which means no real time to experiment.

    • Yeah, I know it is kinda silly to not wear high heels just because I would bump my head each time I walked through a door, but… – hahaha – seriously, I do have a few pair of shoes with tiny heels, but I would never wear 5″ or more. I like seeing them though. And I nearly bought a pair as a photo prop 🙂
Yes, when you get to that point in your photography you need to take a step back, slow down, and think before you shoot. Or set up the shoot. Do something different. This one here, all you have to do is practice, practice, practice.

  6. I used to work in the pizza business!
As for Pepsi or Coke, I don’t drink any soda at all but we were always a Pepsi family growing up. My dad said it was better! I’m a supertaster so I think I will have to sip both and get back to you on that!
Good luck with the redesign stuff!

    • Yes, I remember – the ‘other’ important end of the pizza business 🙂
You know, I should have added that I hardly ever drink sodas. Maybe once in a while during lunch in a restaurant, maybe, but then I’d always look for Coke.
