NYC Christmas Ornaments

And – I made it to the city again. A friend from Germany is visiting and it was his first time in New York City. Naturally we walked a lot, saw a lot and – took a lot of photos from morning till evening. Since it is almost Christmas, here is an interpretation of the giant NYC Christmas Ornaments on 6th Avenue opposite Radio City Music Hall. I am almost certain I will share a few more, a little bit more realistic ones, too. Enjoy!

And now to the regular feature of Friday Four Fill ins ~ here is from Hilary’s blog:

Okay, you know the deal – Each week, I list four statements with a blank for you to fill in on your own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to me  . If I use them, I will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is LESLIE from TIME OUT FOR MOM who came up with the last statement.

This week’s statements: feelingbeachiebutton 200x200

1) I am a Capricorn (and an optimistic realist with hints of idealism).

2) When I was little I was always the tallest, still am most times. And I was pretty quiet, especially in school, which usually ended in not my grades being not so good.

3) Sometimes I just need to get out of my shell and I do, but I tend to take a while to do that.

4) The best thing about the holidays is lots of time to do whatever I like. Alone, with hubby, friends and/or family.

  1. My hubby is a Capricorn too and you could say he is a realist for sure!!! Love the bokeh in your shot. That’s something that’s definitely on my bucket list — to see the city decked out for the holidays. I loved seeing Disney in it’s holiday finest but I bet the city would be pretty amazing!

    • Yeah, Capricorn are known to be realists, hence I sometimes don’t feel very ‘capricornish’. The City in Christmas lights is definitely, definitely something. But be prepared for crowds… sigh… it was a wonderful, if somewhat strenuous weekend 🙂

  2. I was always the tallest too. And then….well, something just happened and now I am often the shortest. My kids will probably be taller than I by the time they reach their early teens. My 9 year old is already up to my shoulders.
Lovely picture….wish I could see those ornaments in person.

    • You were? Hm, something happened, huh?! I wish it had happened to me, a little bit. I wish I could wear heels (and not bump into door frames – hahaha). Visit the city, you’ve been there, you can do it again. Maybe when the kids are a little older 🙂
