    • Don’t be, Tamara, it was a biz trip with next to no time for anything else, hence the iPhone snap. Hmm, I don’t think I can take credit for the rainbow colors, it might have been an editing filter that I used.

    • They sure are, Karen, I love all the details. Hmm, what is it like to live in them? High ceilings, clack-er-di-clack of walking on wood floor above you, usually a little lofty – so in general, pretty darn’ good. I lived in one in Mannheim, pretty similar to this one.

  1. I love the architecture of old. It’s so interesting and beautiful with the attention to detail. We don’t take time to do that these days – it’s a bit sad. But I suppose it’s also expensive since time is money.
I didn’t have a chance to do a WW post today, since I was in bed with a cold and dying. or something a little less dramatic, but still… ugh.

    • I love it, too. But, you know, Leslie, I also love very modern, simple lines, shiny architecture. Both has their places in my world. But you are right, the way houses are built these days, sorry to say, especially here in the US, is a bit sad, and, yes, it sure is mostly due to costs. I guess if you were to build a house like they used to be built, you would have to pay a fortune, quite literally. Oh well.
I hope you are feeling much, much better by now – for Halloween!!
