A photo art how-to

Welcome to my s~A(R)T~urday linky party – today:  Photo art how-to

“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.

~ Andy Warhol ~

So, I just gave myself some photo fun time. After I have been sketching only very little this past week I decided to skip that for today and have done a little photo edit instead. And what else? I have done my very first screencapture. It is showing how I get from the original photo processed in Lightroom to the final piece below. I haven’t added a voice-over (yet), not sure if it is necessary or something you would like. Let me know.

And that’s it from me. Now show me what’s new with you. And have a great weekend!

Cheers,

claudia3

p.s. this is my very first, so for next time I know to crop the huge border around it (among other things) 🙂

  1. That is so pretty Claudia. I love that you show us how to do this. As far a voice-over… well I guess you can guess my answer to that!! Others would probably like it though. 😉

  2. Hallo Claudia,

  3. The tutorial is so cool. I’ll have to try it for myself one of these days. I’m always so inspired by you and hope once all the house craziness is over and we are settled in that I can spend time on things like that again. 🙂

  5. Hi Claudia, the picture you created is beautiful and I would love to learn how to do something like that. At some point I want to invest in an editing tool like Photoshop or Lightroom, I’ve had different recommendations for both, but I see you use Lightroom and I love what you did.

Personally I think your video would benefit from a voice over as I had no real idea what you were doing, but someone a little more clued up probably would have.

  6. Unfortunately I don’t have Lightroom … I am still a PSE level artist. Your voice over shows us how difficult it was to come to your awesome finally. I used to do a lot more with this kind of art than I have lately and now you have inspired me to try again … maybe next week. I am glad to see your are following your heart when choosing what you will do from week to week. This is a lovely piece … well worth your time.

  7. Oh that would be such a lovely print!! Or even Personal stationary. I’d love to do something like this with a few of my flower shots and do a nice Art grouping somewhere in my house. And I think your video is great!!! Love seeing the process… I even picked up on a mistake I am making. Ha. I definitely think a voice over, or even some subtitles/captions every now and then is helpful. But you also went slow enough for me to follow the mouse and all the steps — I’ve seen others where they just go super fast.

Sorry I missed you this week. I was making LOTS of art at Girl Guide Camp though. One of my personal favourites was thumbprint art doodles!! So much fun. I can’t include any photos though due to confidentiality.

  8. Wow…you are amazing. This is beautiful. You should teach. It is really incredible how you create.
I will be back next week…this one got away from me. Hugs, my friend.

  9. Claudia, I love the photo-editing of your image! I think I would like it if you did a voice-over (or you could list the steps on your site) on the video because I can’t see the options you’re choosing in Photoshop clearly. Thanks for sharing your most recent photoart work. It’s beautiful!

  10. I got the general idea of how you created this beautiful photo art. It really is lovely. You must have a lot of filter plug-ins or stock backgrounds. The video makes it look so easy, but I know it’s not 😉 I came here from the T party to see some of your art and had a nice visit. Thank you and happy T-day! Eileen xx
