Once again I am resorting to portrait photography for my fine art Friday post. I have mentioned that a couple of weeks ago I attended a few workshops with reference to different lightings in portraits. And I loved (!) it. I enjoyed it so much, I immediately wanted to go and shoot my husband, ahem, of course, with my camera. But seriously, it was a lot of fun and I will be doing and you will be seeing more of it. This here is a purposely overexposed shot, called high key, of our beautiful model Christina. There are so many more photos I really need to process, but time… how time flies…

And here is from Hilary’s blog:
Each week, I plan on listing four statements with a blank for you to fill in on your own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to me at Hilary(at)feelingbeachie(dot)com. If I use them, I will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Tami from Empty Nest in IL – she came up with the last two statements!
I REALLY NEED CO-HOSTS – PLEASE EMAIL ME SOME STATEMENTS!
I would LOVE it if you could please help me spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet, FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…
This week’s statements:
1. If you give me a camera I will shoot you. 🙂
2. Sometimes I am very shy.
3. Tight rooms e.g. elevators make me nervous.
4. I would love to see lots of things because I am curious. Need examples? The Northern Lights, Iceland, Africa, Alaska, Paris, various places in the US and the list goes on and on and on.

Gorgeous photo as usual. Your camera work is excellent!
That is so very nice of you to say, Judy <3
Paris is a beautiful city, I’ve been there twice and have loved each time. Africa would be amazing – I hope you get to go one day : ) Have a lovely weekend x
I have seen many other European big cities, but not Paris and I definitely would love that. I hope to see it, and Africa, one day.
I feel the same way about elevators. I hate that my foot is still not 100% and I have to use the one at work
One of my big fears moving to the US was all these skyscrapers and their elevators. Luckily I don’t live in a big city with big buildings.
I can be very shy too! Have a great weekend!
To be shy is not the worst thing to be, but it took me a while to realize it 😉
With me it’s more crowded than tight spaces that make me nervous and stressed. Love that portrait – it’s different and the model reminds me of one of my best friends in Germany!
Yeah – I am not the best in tight crowds. I usually am o.k. for a while and it depends on what kind of crowds e.g. concert vs. shopping – guess which one is o.k.?!
Padraic and SoniaDeasy teach photography courses to portrait photographers all over the world. Their techniques of taking the courses is very good and also they teach how to take portrait photography as a business.
