Saturday linky party

Welcome to the weekend. Welcome to my Saturday linky party – s~A(R)T~urday!

If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint.” Edward Hopper

Hello, hello. Just quickly popping in before I’ll be leaving for a little weekend getaway. You know to extend David’s birthday a little. So, most likely you will not see much or even less of me around here for the next few days. But I am already looking forward to seeing what you have created. I’ll be checking out your links later next week for sure.

Merlinda of Pixiedusk/Glimmer of Hope entered the previous s~A(R)T~urday last. She shared with us a wonderful collaboration project. A drawing she and her son did together. How wonderful is that? And when you see what they created – amazing. Check it out here: week’s entry here.

My image this week is a pretty quickly created piece. Taking the photos took a bit longer and happened last weekend. It is again one of my newly discovered zoom blurs and a little bit of this, a little bit of that, Photoshop mojo, too.

Have a great weekend, All! I’ll be seeing you next week.

I hope that over time we will be building a community dedicated to art and creating. My personal medium is photography and photo art, but I do not want to put a limit on my art link up. Thus I encourage you to join me, no matter which your art form is.
Please do not be intimidated that I am calling this an art link up. I want you to share your creations. Art is completely subjective. It takes courage and time to realize that you may actually call your own creations art. If you believe they are pieces of art, I believe they are. They may be good or bad or great – who am I to say?! I’d rather like to think along these words from Andy Warhol:

Don’t think about making art, just get it done.

Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.

While they are deciding, make even more art.”

Why don’t you join me along my journey and follow me on fbgo and tw if you prefer and see what I come up with next. You can, of course, also subscribe by email – (click) here or you may follow my blog with Bloglovin or my preferred reader Feedly.

Drop me a comment and you’ll make me smile!

  1. There is something slightly pagan about your picture today. Cannot quite place my finger on it but it is stirring something deep. Great composition. Have a wonderful extended birthday with David!

  2. love the bright spot in the centre that draws the eye, and then you can slowly view outward to the edges and all the little interesting details as you go.
Happy birthday David!! Hope the celebrations are fun and ….. yes! make them last as long as possible! 🙂

  3. I am straining to see the photographs … they are so subtle, but I gather they are about children. The over all is powerful and I wonder what you had in mind as you did it. Is there a message here, or are you just being artistic. Either way it is beautiful and I hope you have a wonderful weekend away from it all 🙂

    • Hi Andrea, first of all thanks for stopping by and linking up – hope you will become a regular.
As for the photos, true they are subtle, there are many. Maybe next time I will assemble all the ones I used, just to give you a glimpse at how I arrived at the final image. There are times when I have a clear direction or idea, but in this case, I simply let creativity take over.
Thank you, we really did enjoy the weekend.

      Many thanks!
