The evolution from a photo to a watercolor painting

Photos. I want to post photos, too, not only my paintings as I have done lately. Yet, when I look at my photos I am feeling very uninspired.

It is not that they are bad, far from it. I actually have a few very nice shots both taken with my DSLR and also my iPhone plus action windsurfing shots of the freestyle pros on Bonaire, too. But – I am still lacking inspiration to actually edit them.

Also, I want to write a lot less (!) in my blog posts again. My apologies for my last couple that have been a teensy bit lengthy.

So today I present you a mix of all of it: Short post, photo and drawing – and (the drawing is) definitely not finished yet, but I thought I’d show you a work in progress for once. See for yourself below.

First penciled and then inked the picture, added a little monster, too (done on my iPad Pro)

Then started some coloring fun (iPad Pro)

Added the background colors (iPad Pro)
