Thanksgiving – day 3 of creating a game in 4 days
After a slow day yesterday (here are our re-caps of day 0, day 1 and day 2), David was able to resolve the few remaining inventory issues this morning, and then proceeded to something that every novice game developer does on their first day. But after almost a year of fussing around with this game engine he still had not done: Creating monsters, spells, attacks, etc. You know, the sort of thing you normally expect in a game.
I suppose he tends towards non-violent games.
But the haunted forest is a dangerous place! So he did a quick sketch of a goblin, put him in the game, worked out a spell-casting system, and voila! Our witch now has a few grumpy green obstacles to her ingredient collecting quests.
Claudia did some nice background images to improve the images for the trees, sky, horizon, etc. She also did an animation for the witch when flying (which is not apparent in a static image).

Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.
While they are deciding, make even more art.”
