I hope that over time we will be building a community dedicated to art and creating. I rather like these words said by Andy Warhol:

Don’t think about making art, just get it done.

Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.

While they are deciding, make even more art.”

Drop me a comment and you’ll make me smile!

  2. Merry Christmas, dear Claudia! This is gorgeous! I’m off from blogging until January 4th, but I couldn’t let the season slip by without popping over to wish you and your husband well this Christmas holiday. I hope you are blessed with sense of wonderment that this day offers through the magic of the colorful lights and beautifully decorated tree, but more importantly may the warmth of Christ’s birth fill your heart with love. God’s blessings to you, my friend and thank you for sharing 2015 with me in Blogosphere, in which you being a part of has made my life a little richer. 😉 XOXO

    • Thanks so much, Cathy. Yeah, I was thinking about taking a blogging break, but somehow I just don’t. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I will be seeing you in the new year. Happy New Year!

    • Thanks so much, Sally. You know, the reason I bought this cactus a few years ago when I saw it in a gardening shop was exactly what you said. I grew up with them, my Grandma had a couple of gorgeous ones and then we did, too. Memories can do so many things to you…

    • You didn’t? Oh well, it is it’s common name. I have no idea what the correct name is. But the most important thing to know about it is that it blooms very beautifully.

  3. I love these!! I used to have one and it would always bloom at Christmas, no matter what I did. I don’t know how it “knew” to bloom then, but it did. They are just beautiful when they do.
I’ll be back to linking up in the New Year! 🙂

    • It is quite amazing, isn’t it? How they just ‘know’ – nature, no question, is amazing.
Hmm, actually, I am thinking I may stop the WW linkup, especially with Susi starting the Instagram one. I will still be posting on Wednesdays, but I don’t want my blog to be all linkys, you know… But I’m still a bit undecided, so there is still time to convince me otherwise 😉

    • Hi Debbie, thanks a lot! The quality of (i)phone pictures never seizes to amaze me. In this particular photo I have actually added the lens blur in the corner to make the pic a tad more dramatic 🙂
