Thank you very much, Pippa. Hope you are enjoying the Christmas break.
This is so delicate and fragile. I love how you capture detail, and the contrast of colours. Thank you for sharing your artwork like you do.
Merry Christmas to you & David.
Thank you for your friendship and continuous support, Annie.
What a beautiful Christmas cactus! Merry Christmas to you and yours Claudia!
Thank you, Jen. Actually, if you saw the whole plant…, but the bloom certainly was beautiful.
Liebe Claudia,
Du schaffst es immer wieder, mit Bildern Stimmungen zu erzeugen! Das gefällt und imponiert mir!
Ich wünsche Dir und David ein fröhliches und schönes Weihnachtsfest!
Merry Christmas!
Herzliche Grüße aus good old Germany,
Michael
Merry Christmas, dear Claudia! This is gorgeous! I’m off from blogging until January 4th, but I couldn’t let the season slip by without popping over to wish you and your husband well this Christmas holiday. I hope you are blessed with sense of wonderment that this day offers through the magic of the colorful lights and beautifully decorated tree, but more importantly may the warmth of Christ’s birth fill your heart with love. God’s blessings to you, my friend and thank you for sharing 2015 with me in Blogosphere, in which you being a part of has made my life a little richer. 😉 XOXO
Thanks so much, Cathy. Yeah, I was thinking about taking a blogging break, but somehow I just don’t. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I will be seeing you in the new year. Happy New Year!
Beautiful and very clear 🙂
Merry Christmas to you 🙂
PS: You didn’t add your link when you stopped by
Hah – what do you know… I did, but it has been rectified, now! Thank you very much.
LOL that’s better (giggles)
Beautiful Christmas cactus!!
Thank you very much, Yogi. Every time it blooms I am in awe, I love them.
a beautiful image of the cactus. Mine was in bloom more then a month ago 🙂
Hah – I guess it’s timing was a little off – hahaha. I am sure you forgave it though 🙂
Beautiful! Merry Christmas dear Claudia!
Thank you, Ramona. See you in the new year, or maybe earlier.
Very beautiful. And very Christmas-ey too. I hope you find your spirit. We have two days to go! I’m looking for mine and going all the way to NJ to find it.
Well, I think my Christmas spirit arrived just in time. But it also was a very brief visit 🙂 I hope you enjoyed your visit to your old stomping grounds.
YAY! Love red, love your art! Love you! Merry Christmas!
Hah – you are ‘just’ a very loving person. You are sharing so much love and energy, one of the reasons I am following you 🙂
Gorgeous pic!
Thank you so much, Ruth. I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment.
Beautiful!!Wish you a Blessed Christmas!
Thank you very much. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas.
what a stunning capture
Thank you very much. There blooms never fail to please my eyes.
Great perspective.
Thank you, Brooke, I really tried to have nothing, but the beautiful bloom in the shot.
Stunning and very different Christmas photo. I really like it. I must try and get a Christmas cactus for next year.
They are beautiful, right? They obviously have an official name, but – Christmas cactus is a very common one and it works for me.
What a beautiful photo – so very clear and dramatic! I remember my Mom had a Christmas cactus when I was growing up, I’ve always thought they are beautiful.
Thanks so much, Sally. You know, the reason I bought this cactus a few years ago when I saw it in a gardening shop was exactly what you said. I grew up with them, my Grandma had a couple of gorgeous ones and then we did, too. Memories can do so many things to you…
Great quote and stunning image
Mollyxxx
I love the quote. Which is why I have it right on my homepage 🙂 I really can do with the reminder. Thanks, Molly.
I did not know what a Christmas cactus was, until now. Such a brilliant, close shot x
You didn’t? Oh well, it is it’s common name. I have no idea what the correct name is. But the most important thing to know about it is that it blooms very beautifully.
I love these!! I used to have one and it would always bloom at Christmas, no matter what I did. I don’t know how it “knew” to bloom then, but it did. They are just beautiful when they do.
I’ll be back to linking up in the New Year! 🙂
It is quite amazing, isn’t it? How they just ‘know’ – nature, no question, is amazing.
Hmm, actually, I am thinking I may stop the WW linkup, especially with Susi starting the Instagram one. I will still be posting on Wednesdays, but I don’t want my blog to be all linkys, you know… But I’m still a bit undecided, so there is still time to convince me otherwise 😉
Hi Claudia, a lovely close-up of a Christmas cactus. Love the detail of the stigma and the way the photo goes slightly out of focus.
xx
Hi Debbie, thanks a lot! The quality of (i)phone pictures never seizes to amaze me. In this particular photo I have actually added the lens blur in the corner to make the pic a tad more dramatic 🙂
Magnificent macro! Happy New Year. 😀
a beautiful image happy new year!
