That is a question a lot of us have faced and will be facing for times to come. There are pictures that will work only in color or only in black & white. However, the ‘only’ is a very personal sensation. What seems to me perfect in black&white, somebody else just loves in color. Or is it the other way around? And then there is the ‘in between’. Yes, there is something in between the extremes. There are the ‘vintage’ or ‘bleached’ look or sepia or any other tint for that matter. Some artists have committed themselves to only work in monochrome e.g. black & white and they produce wonderful art. However, I admit that while I love monochrome pictures, I have always been drawn to colors, too. Which is why I will not limit myself and keep on exploring and deciding, for myself, which is the best color space for a particular picture of mine. Here is an example of what I mean. What are your thoughts on this subject?
