Welcome to the weekend. Welcome to my (scrapbook art) Saturday linky party – s~A(R)T~urday!
“The main thing is to be moved, to love, to hope, to tremble, to live.” Auguste Rodin
Saturday it is and – can you believe it – we are still waiting to get our car back. On the other hand we are also still enjoying our most gorgeous summer weather here, I am sure we’ll find something else to do but bike riding. Like – sitting on the balcony. Hahaha – I know, not quite an exercise, but very enjoyable nonetheless. Anyway, if you follow me on Instagram or facebook you’ll find out first hand.
Last week the final entrant to s~A(R)T~urday was Laurie. She is a wonderful and diverse artist, using both words and pictures, who has been supporting my linkup since the beginning. Every Saturday Laurie shares with us one of her ‘pictoglyphs’, an awesomely edited version of one of her (usually) phone pictures. Check out her last week’s entry here.
This here is my latest creation, kind of scrapbook art, but solely created in Photoshop. Like most of the time, say 99 %, one of my photos was in the beginning. In this case a beautiful pink, purple aster, kind of daisy, which I shot last Saturday with my macro lens. Then I took a perfectly executed photo and turned into – this.
This is what I do.
*** Here is where I link up today. ***

Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.
While they are deciding, make even more art.”

Hehehe – vielen Dank, liebe Pippa. Es hat Spaß gemacht diese ‘Leben’ zu kreieren.
Ohh! Thanks so much for highlighting my work…I like how you spilled the petals over the frame of your scrapbook page. Love seeing the mini gallery of art you present each week of various bloggers-thanks for hosting♪
You are very welcome, Laurie. Without you and the other participants it would be very, very lonely around here. Plus I totally love your creations.
you present your rose in a very nice way 🙂
Thank you very much, Monica
Fantastic as always, Claudia! Love the lushness of the color. I am working as we speak (or is it write) on my website. Things progress!
I am so sorry I haven’t been able to check out your new site – this week was just sooo busy at work – I was tired and didn’t do anything at home. And I mean ANYTHING.
I love the way the flower fades away in the back. That softness and blur is magical.
Thank you for joining us again this week at Photo Friday!
Hi Jen, I am sure you know, but that shallow depth of fields comes from using an open aperture (small number) of a good lens 🙂 thank you.
That’s beautiful! It would make a great card to purchase!
Thank you, Kim! I didn’t even think of that.
beautiful macro shot!! you know I love the blooms!! 🙂
and la vie en rose – perfect.
I did my own bike trail ride yesterday with hubby. have some scraped knees to show for it. apparently some trails have fallen trees on them and you also have to carry your bike some times. I don’t carry bike and climb tree limbs very well — at the same time!! ha. but it was an awesome ride otherwise!
thanks for adding me to the link up!
