#3 / 2016 – Wordless or Wordy Wednesday
*** Here is where I link up today. ***
Please help me spread the word about my Saturday Art Linkup and grab my badge below:
<div align="center"><a href="http://ImagesByCW.com" title="ImagesByCW Photography"><img src="http://www.imagesbycw.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/sARTurday.png" alt="ImagesByCW Photography" style="border:none;" /></a></div>
I hope that over time we will be building a community dedicated to art and creating. I rather like these words said by Andy Warhol:
“Don’t think about making art, just get it done.
Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.
While they are deciding, make even more art.”
I love your shot Claudia! And the quote is awesome too! I hope you had a great birthday!
Thanks, Mary, I most certainly did, at a location like this 🙂
Love the photo it looks cold but peaceful there 🙂
Have a icetastic week 🙂
You nailed it. That’s exactly how it was there.
Great shot! Stay warm buddy and hoping the snow storm does not reach you guys!
Well, we both know now that it did reach us, but we also stayed warm.
It looks very cold there. The black and white really accentuates the mood.
Well, it was cold, but it wasn’t that cold, if you know what I mean. But the reflection on the ice was made for b&w
What an interesting capture. Hauntingly beautiful.
Thank you very much, Raych, I love a good mystery – also in a photo
Very cool reflection!
Reflections are the spice in a lot of photos!
Beautiful and cool! It amazes me that our lakes still have yet to freeze over — but given the very much below temperatures the past couple of days; it won’t be long now! Love the reflection.
*your blog button would not go in my blog post – I had to just hyperlink the image – not sure if that’s a problem on my end or if others have mentioned. just fyi.*
Thanks for the fyi! For some reason when you copied the box and then pasted it into the html text of your site (or mine for that matter) it converted the inverted commas in a way that they looked pretty, but weren’t recognizable code anymore. I think I have got it fixed now 🙂
I did notice that the commas looked different and thought that might be the problem — but I had to go to a meeting so I just hyperlinked the image back to your site for now. Technology – not to be trusted!! 🙂
Hahaha – so true, but I just cannot help and always have to try out something new 🙂
I think the problem is on my end — it still rejected the code. But others obviously post it no problem, so Blogger is being it’s usual finicky self. oye.
That is so, so strange. I don’t know then. Then again, as you know, the code is nothing else than what you are doing already – linking the photo 🙂 So, I think I’ll choose not to worry about this anymore.
Claudia, whew that really does look cold! It’s cold here, too. We did get some snow. I think we have about 3 inches. The roads in our area are in horrible shape with accidents all over the place. Oh well, I’m staying indoors where it’s not only warm, but safe. Have a fototastic week!
Did you actually get hit by storm Jonas, Cathy? We sure got our share, right now we have got winter wonderland here.
Your B & W are so striking. Excellent! I thought you gave up linking for WW. If you do it next week, I will link.
Well, I have given up on the linky itself, but I will post my own WW.
That is breathtaking. Is the lake partially frozen? I love lakes that reflect the sky that way!
I think it was more like totally frozen, Janice. But even in summer (see the latest post) it can be nice and reflective.
What an amazing picture, kinda chilly feeling about it, but striking too! Is that clumps of ice floating?
Actually that is patterns in the ice. The reflections of the trees are on black ice, not water – very pretty.
Nice. I’m new to photography. I see your images and think… #goals.
Wow, that truly is STUNNING!!
Thanks so much, Gigi.
how lovely
Thank you very much, Tom.
I love it too. Who says winter has to be ugly? Although I think that sometimes, but not when I look at it through the camera.
You know me, I am very torn about winter. It can look really pretty – like it does at the moment around here. But then, for the most part, it is simply cold and wet and… not nice.
You know how much I love a good reflection! This one great and has just a touch of sinister to it. Two thumbs up from me. 🙂
Yes, I do! And so do I – a lot!
great photo!#photo friday
Thanks a lot, Tanja.
how fun…
Thank you. We certainly had fun around there.
eye catching image.
It caught your eye 😉 I am happy about that!
That is a stunning shot, the light and reflections are amazing

Sometimes you have to be at the right place and the right time. And have a camera at hand 🙂
So pretty! I can see myself standing there taking in the whole scene and seeing my breath in the cold.
I don’t doubt it. I actually have photo from this weekend (selfie with David) where you can see my breath in front of our faces – hahaha – didn’t post that one.
GORGEOUS! as always xo
Thank you, Lindsay 🙂
Happy belated birthday! What a lovely place to spend some time – the reflection on the lake is beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us at Photo Friday!
Thanks, Jen. It is a great place and getaway to spend any time.
