Paintography @ Fine Art Friday & Feeling Beachie Blog Hop ~ week 120

Here is something that I don’t usually do too much. It is a photo that I processed in a painterly manner. Hence people call it paintography. To be honest I still have mixed feelings about this kind of processing. However, I have seen a few very nice examples of paintography and I like to experiment and try new things. Even if I didn’t like them in the past. There comes a time when you have to try those things again. Which is what I am doing. I don’t think you will ever see me using a filter 100 % on one of my photos, but… a little bit – maybe.

And here is from Hilary’s blog:

Each week, I plan on listing four statements with a blank for you to fill in on your own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to me . If I use them, I will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Donella from My Constant Thought – she came up with the last two statements!

I would LOVE it if you could please help me spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet, FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…

PhotobucketThis week’s statements:
1. I never bet.
2. Being offline for more then a day is hard for me.
3. My favorite place is Bonaire to vacation in the spring because I can escape northern winters and there is lots of wind to go windsurfing.
4. The best concert I’ve seen was Bryan Adams in Germany because I could sing every song (p.s. that was way back in the 90s).

  1. I have a hard time being truly disconnected. I can stay away from the blog for a day or two and not even open my computer but I can’t leave my phone alone! I used to love Bryan Adams – back then!!! 🙂 Love the way the picture came out. I like to use paintography (didn’t know that’s what it’s called) for making pins or blog buttons. 🙂

    • I’m the same way, Susi. I at least want to look at my site on the phone and yes, Bryan Adams back in the days. These days – not so much – then again, I guess he is now more into photography himself 😉

  2. I rather like how that picture is done. It’ looks kinda real, kinda like a poster. very cool.

I’m a bad Canadian — I don’t think I have ever seen Bryan Adams!! Shameful.
Not a big better myself….or into lottery, casino, just cutting up my money with scissors. LOL

    • Thank you, Les. I’m glad you don’t think it overdone. Yeah, well, I believe he does not reside in Canada anymore, at least most of the time, right? And I wouldn’t go and see him anymore, but back then… it was great!
