You don’t really need another peanut butter cookies recipe, do you? I didn’t think so. There are so many already floating around on the internet, not even talking about cooking books… So, I will not type out ours, but rather show you the pictures I took while making them. I had a lot of fun mixing, taking photos. Forming, taking photos. Baking, taking photos, Eating, taking – oops, no I didn’t. So, I will link this post to pret-a-vivre who wants us to show her moments that made us … happy 🙂
Oh, and for those that cannot go without a recipe, here it is in a picture: Peanut Butter Cookies -taken from a cookbook from 1980.
First of all get all ingredients into a good sized bowl. Did I mention I made twice the quantity?
Then mix it all up, not too runny, not too dry; hmm, the dough for peanut butter cookies really looks kind of… ‘non-yummy’.
Forming little balls with your hands and then – traditionally – flatten them on the baking sheet with a fork.
Off into the oven they go…
… ready yet??
Now they are! { peanut butter cookies }
Well, actually I should have paid more attention to the pencil scribblings next to the recipe. Which not only stated ‘less salt when using salted peanut butter’, but also ‘more sugar’. Very wise words that I will follow next time when baking these peanut butter cookies. But for now… here’s the solution:
to get – almost – perfect peanut butter cookies!

They are not half bad, Keri, thank you. Very basic, but then again – what do you do with Peanut Butter Cookies? I know there are some fancy recipes, which are probably very good, but I think a lot of times ‘simple is the best’

Yours does, too, Sonya. I love me some yummy salmon – mmmmh!
Good thinking on the powdered sugar! I love it on most cookies. 🙂
Powdered sugar is also good for a cover-up-op – LOL!
