Welcome to my s~A(R)T~urday linky party – today: Positive
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time”
~ Thomas Merton ~
Is it only me or does it seem like everybody is on a personal quest, a mission to find mindfulness, to get away from all negativity in their lives these days. Well, guess what? Me, too and I love seeing this notion all around me, because…
[Tweet “No-one can ever have too many positive thoughts in their life. #quote #art #mindful”]
In my last Saturday art post I told you about the online resort that I participated in. Which was all about our own positive energy and our healing powers and our art. All of it together. It was such a fun time.
But, alas, day-to-day life has got its hold back on me. Which leaves little time to create. Yet – I did. A little. It is not ready to show yet, so I whipped up something else. You know that I have tons of photos, even though most of the ones I took lately were all shot with my iPhone instead of my DSLR, and the one below is no exception.
And I love quotes. They are so wonderful in giving us that little bit of motivation and positiveness. The one I used below – it is simply perfect!
I try to be positive. Always. And to create, too. And with both of them I am sometimes more, sometimes less successful. But you know, what? There is always another day and another opportunity.
And with this positive thought I am wishing you all a wonderful weekend. May it be filled with many more positive thoughts and creativity.

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done.
Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.
While they are deciding, make even more art.”

und zu diesem Post von Dir:
Ja, positiv ist der einzige Weg!
Herzlich P.
You’re welcome, Pippa. Ja, wir müssen uns nur immer wieder dran erinnern, oder?
What you put out comes back. Always. We may not recognize this because it is not so black and white. And we tend to focus on the negative stuff because for some reason we are more aware of that and not on the positive (which can represent itself in very minute measures). Hokay, I shut up now. LOL
Yup, it sure does. Although, sometimes you don’t want to, right? And then some other times you do and it doesn’t. But – that’s also life. I guess I’ll better shut up too.
Oh my – where is that!!??? I want to be there Right Now. Which I suppose is not being present in my current circumstances, but there are 3 noisy children running amuck right now, so I am sure people will forgive the momentary lapse of mindfulness. LOL This is gorgeous. What a shot. And you know I feel your words; deeply. I am actually off to a Girl Guides overnight camping weekend (indoors – we aren’t that crazy up here – ha) which I have been planning for all week, so no creative time for me. Unless you count various crafts and games to keep fifteen 7-8 year old girls occupied for 36 hours. I’m hoping to have some time on Sunday to maybe create something.
I guess it speaks to your Canadian soul, right? You and your beautiful autumns… This one is right here in NJ, our little river where I go jogging (when I can). I knew you’d like this post, both the photo, but more so the words. We are very alike in this 🙂
It’s raining here today. I can’t believe I am wishing for a fresh layer of snow to make some nice photo ops. It’s dingy and dirty after the rain in winter. Autumn… Autumn is good memory. 🙂
Only raining? It is pouring here, has been since yesterday (hence my headaches…). But you see, right? Good memories, positive thoughts are working. 🙂
so beautiful!
Thanks so much, Hilary.
So nice. I am always looking for something positive everyday. It just makes life so much better. Add a little creativity and relaxation and all’s good.
Yeah, it seems kind of like the secret to a balanced life, doesn’t it? I think it is soooo important. Seriously, sometimes in my mind I am telling myself to think positive. I need that reminder. And art, too. Thanks, Susi.
Hello Claudia, Nice to meet you. That’s a beautiful shot, and with the quote, it makes an inspiring poster.
Hi Susie, I am very happy to meet you, too. Thank you. I took the shot a couple of months ago here in NJ. Trust me, now it looks very different there. That quote speaks to me very much, I am glad you like it.
Like negativity, I am a firm believer in that a positive attitude is just as contagious. This is stunning!
Yes! Contagious, that’s what it is. You get infected with either bad or good, positive or negative. Good thing that unlike with most illnesses, here we have a choice. Let’s choose the positive.
I suppose, yes, I’m on a quest too. I want to be there so badly right now. It’s gloomy and rainy here. A dreadful Sunday! Calgon, take me away!
Good! Let’s spread lots and lots of positiveness. I am reminding myself over and over, most especially when I am feeling a certain grumpiness or stress coming about – sigh. The weather has been totally dreadful here, too. Actually in my husband’s word (who had to work…) ‘a day to stay home on the couch’ 🙂
Such a beautiful scene! Can’t wait to see what you are creating!
Thanks, Kim, that was back in autumn, the colors never fail to amaze, right? Creatively speaking I am back at drawing and painting again, so, with the time I have on hand it will be a while 🙂
Attitude is everything. Great post.
It sure is. Let’s make it a positive one. Thank you, Jessica
I am I am! I actually have a journal, that is my happy journal, where I log all my happy positive thoughts! haha.. – http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com
Hahaha – very good, Gingi! I am so glad you do. I have to confess that I am not very good at journaling, especially when it comes to writing. Drawing is a different story.
Oh, your photos are lovely Claudia – and your new site makeover just rocks! 🙂
Have a lovely week and “dream a little dream”! 🙂
Thanks, Ramona! Haven’t you been here since I changed it? Well, it may have been the busy, busy advent time before Christmas. I am happy that you like it.
I post a morning & a mid-day inspiration on my FB page daily. I love searching for them, selecting the quote and them finding just the right image to pair it with. Best of all are the comments they get.
Sounds like an interesting project. I wish I could make the time for it, but am very glad that you do and get ‘reward’ from the comments. That is really nice.
what a wonderful calm and serene photo and a lovely sentiment.
Thank you very much, Sherry. It was the calm before the storm, well, actually not. Autumn was followed by a very warm winter until – today. It snowed!
hard to imagine when we are sweltering in 30+C heat this week!
Yeah, I know. I skyped the other day with my friend in Shepparton, VIC and she was ‘complaining’ about the heat, while I was freezing – hahaha – that’s part of life.
43C in melbourne today.!
That sounds like (part of) the Melbourne I know. I loved it down there 🙂
melbourne is a fabulous city!. i grew up there and love to make return visits.
I love it!! You can never have too much positivity!
Glad we agree. Let us all spread more and more of it.
Positive thoughts are so powerful, and yet I struggled to have them for so long. I’m allowing that peace to infiltrate slowly in to bring about change for that. Interestingly, it was a scene similar to the one you have on this post that helped propel me to that.
Trust me, Eli, you are not alone with that struggle. Hence the reminder and I agree certain environments e.g. autumn forest or a river or (in my case often) a beach will evoke this.
What beautiful photos Claudia! I love the depth to them. I work constantly on positivity. It is one of the things that it is hardest for me, but I know that my life is better when I can maintain that. And it’s much, much better when I create. There’s so much that needs to happen right now that it is stymieing any creative pursuit I try to engage in. I can certainly tell the difference. When I’m walking, I’ve been listening to podcasts about creativity, and it highlights all of that for me…but it also inspires me. It makes me want to try harder and figure out how to make it all work.
Your thoughts here are exactly mine. Life is much better, plus I ‘function’ much better when I am able to create. And during my work-outs I usually listen to YouTube or read ebooks about creativity and blogging. Win / win in my book. I really hope you successful in making positivity and creativity a part of your daily routine.
Hi Claudia, taking a positive mindset can make a huge difference in our outlook and how we feel. I too try to focus on the positive (every cloud has a silver lining!), but it’s not always easy.
The place in your photo looks calm and serene, a perfect place to gather thoughts and focus on the positive.
xx
You are so right, Debbie, it is not always easy (wouldn’t that be too easy 😉 hahaha – couldn’t resist – sorry), but that just means that we need to try harder, focus more on what is important and good for us.
That scene was taken where I go running any time but winter and I usually use my runs to focus and / or listen to something.
