Just got my dogwood fix paired with a walk in the arboretum, finally I might add.

I love spring flowers in black and white, just makes them pop!
Thanks, Tamar. I love b&w, but I did hesitate a little, because generally spring and blossoms are associated with pink, right? But I did it anyhow 🙂
I have never done black and white photos of flowers, but now I’m thinking I should. Color is awesome, but the absence of it? Is also pretty special and evocative.
Really? Never? You have got so many beautiful photos, in b&w, that I find it hard to believe. You have to give it a try.
What a beautiful photograph! I love the pink hues of your lovely manga maiden below too.
Thank you, Lisa, this is actually the iPhone version (duh – as you probably read :)) Thanks, I seem to love pink and purple a lot these days.
So dramatic!!! I bet it smelled heavenly. I got snow on the ground this morning. Yeah. Happy Mother’s day from Mother Confused AF Nature. LOL
Pssst – you know what? I didn’t smell anything. I don’t even know if dogwood are supposed to smell. That is definitely one ‘negative’ they have compared to magnolia.
LOVE this! I really look forward to my time slowing back down in a few weeks. School is almost out and I will not be running around like a crazy woman.
I have all your emails saved so I can catch up with you 🙂
You will make it, Tiffany, I mean to the slower times. Although, are you sure they are going to happen? Hahaha – I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I love black and white flowers because it makes you focus on more than just the color of the flower. It gives it more depth, you know what I mean? Your shot is beautiful.
I absolutely know what you mean ‘b&w reduces the image to tones, contrast and shapes’ – one thing I love about it. Thank you, Janice.
