“On Wednesdays all over the internet, bloggers post a photograph with no words to explain it on their blog. Hence the ‘wordless wednesday’ title. The idea is that the photo itself says so much that it does not need any description.”
*** Here is where I link up today. ***

I love the light hitting NYC ~ beautiful! Was this shot taken at sunrise? The warmth of the glow reminds me of the morning light striking the woods in my backyard. It always makes me so happy to see in the winter months ~ cheery and bright. I think we’re all in for another round of snow & cold tonight! Keep warm & happy #WW!
Hi Cathy, it was actually sunset when we landed that time into Newark and we had this grand view. But you are right, we can all use a little bright color and sunshine these days (and I’m getting them on Bonaire right now ;))
You first one makes me desperate to fly off with my little camera again! Several months since last time, three months to the next!
Glad to be of service 😉 I posted these particular pictures, because we actually did fly off yesterday
Great shot of the mountains and city. I never think to whip out the camera when flying. Perhaps the new phone camera when I next fly, hopefully this fall to NOLA.
Yep, it was the same for me. I never bothered taking out my DSLR, keeping it in my lap etc. But with the iPhone – it is perfect. Just make sure you get a good seat i.e. at the window AND a bit in front of the engines
What a great view! I love flying! That first one is amazing!
Thanks, Kim. I am actually over feeling the love for flying, however I love the fact that it gets me to where I want to be in a short time.
Next time I’m on a plane, I really have to think about your beautiful photos from above. They make me want to fly!
I bet when your flying with your kids though, you have other stuff to think about.
Beautiful shots! Thanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/02/off-of-saint-maarten.html
Thank you so much.
wow. those are some cool shots. where where you flying to? what awesome views!
Hmmm, now that’s a good question. Since I don’t have my lightroom where I am at now… I am pretty sure though that both were taken flying back east from the westcoast last August. So, the mountains are the Cascades and, of course, it is New York City.
Oh so cool… vacation time?
Would it seem greedy if I said I need a vacation again…. so soon after having my hotel weekend?
I’m at my parents house for a few days now – – life is so busy these days. I am ready for a slllooooooowwww down. 🙂
can’t wait to see some awesome vacation shots! 🙂
In our current times I don’t ever think it greedy to wish for vacations or slow downs. I totally feel you. And I am sure it will happen again.
wow… amazing shots!
Thank you, Hilary.
I need to get back to that…wordless. I started posting words, but you are right…Wordless is the key. Yours are great!
Well, I think there is a time for wordless, but also a time for words. And you are so good with your words.
I love love love air plane shots, especially if they have wings in it! Great edits!
Hahaha – you do? Because most people actually hate when they’ve got the wing in their airplane shots. I am so and so, depends…
