One
yet, can we possibly be – one
you will be living – up there
I will be working – down here
yet, together we will be — one
I just could not resist, when I read Adrienne’s prompt for this week, I just had to share one of my all time favorite songs, by a band I have seen live waaaaaay back in the 80s, before this song came along. And whenever I hear One, irresistibly my hand moves towards the volume button and turns it way up. Like I did just now, with my headphones one, of course…

And now for the Friday Four Fill ins ~ here is from Hilary’s blog:
- When it rains I want to go to bed under a skylight and listen to it’s sound.
- Photography is a great way to balance work in the corporate office (when I find the time).
- Is there ever a good time to diet?
- I can’t leave home without my (smart)phone and some plastic aka credit card.
o.k. and here is today’s photo for this post. One little, lonely dragonfly found it’s one water lily leaf.
Why don’t you join us? Or you can follow me on , and if you prefer and see what I come up with next. You can, of course, also subscribe by email – (click) here.
I love to listen to the rain too : ) love your photo, the dragonfly is beautiful x
Rain – it is falling on our house right now – sigh – I want to take photos. Outside. Today. Oh well… thank you, Rachael!
there is never a good time to diet!
Hehehe – glad you we agree on that one 🙂
The sound of a gentle rain on a metal rooftop can be so soothing. Your dragonfly is cute!
Thank you, Debbi. Hmmm, on a metal rooftop – interesting, I guess the rain really would have to be gentle, otherwise you’d get the drum feeling 😀
LOVE this song. LOVE them. Best concert ever.
Love the dragonfly shot too — I got one this week and he has this weird pattern on his head — it looks like a smiley face!! I’ll have to edit it for a close up and post it later.
We had a rain storm this week and me and the kids all gathered in my bed to hear it pounding on the roof. no skylight though 🙁
I’m happy you love the song, too, Leslie!
Dragonflies have fascinated me for a long time, but for some reason I never felt compelled to take pictures of them. Until I got the new lens a couple of months ago. Now I got to check if you already posted your photo.
Actually, it is raining here right now. Sounds very nice, but I wanted to go out and take photos later, not sure if that’s going to happen
What a beautiful photo and I do love this song very much.
I can’t leave home without my smartphone. Sometime I want do, just for freedom, but then I worry my car would break down and I’d have no phone!
Thanks, Tamara, I thought you might like the song, too 🙂 Yeah, our smartphone addiction these days – nothing more to say about it. That ‘car break down’ was the very reason I got a personal (non-smart)phone in the first place. And I just hate the feeling when I left home and realize that I forgot my phone. There’s a good chance I go back to get it.
It’s a great song from an awesome band…..and a great idea for today’s word!!
Thank you, Debbie, just had to share it 🙂
I”M HERE!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 Oh man…you posted one of my FAVORITE SONGS EVERRRRRR! I’m going to have to go check out this link up you are doing today, looks fun 🙂
Yay – BIG YAY for Kathy, you gave me the final hint to find out why my ‘reply’ and ‘submit’ buttons were missing for a while 🙂 Thank you!
Yes, join us on this hop, Kathy, it is always fun. Glad you like the song, too
No there is no good time to diet!
Exactly, Patricia! Got to say though – there is always a good time to check which good stuff and how much of it you feed your body 😉
Thank you for stopping over. I use to love listening to the rain at my dad’s cottage back near Antioch, IL. It was so relaxing!
You’re welcome, Deborah, thank you for the return visit 😉 And yes, raindrops falling on a roof sure are soothing.
