DRINK
Drink we did this past weekend.
And eat. A lot. We grazed
our way through Reading Terminal Market
in Philadelphia. And Tuesday we had
dinner at the National Constitution Center,
catered. Served with every meal? Drinks.

And now for the Friday Four Fill ins ~ here is from Hilary’s blog:
- During road trips, apart from talking with David I like to take/edit pics or read.
- While I like my iPhone, I wouldn’t ever trade in my DSLR & lenses.
- Reading while getting my hair done, is what I do sometimes, but mostly I iPhone-edit photos or instagram 🙂
- Why would anyone burn books? (hmm, not sure where that one came from, but I always try to fill these in spontaneously)

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my City of Brotherly Love 🙂
Sure did, Kathy! Two or one and a half days, filled with events are just way too short. You have so much history in your city… amazing!
Glad you enjoyed your trip. Love the picture!
I always enjoy traveling. And seeing, learning something new. And Philadelphia really is a nice old city. The visit was way too short.
Hi Claudia!
You see? I am usually sitting in bed reading by 7:30 PM ‘cuz Ray gets up at 4:15 AM. But I sure do like living vicariously through other people’s pix!
🙂 m & jb
Oh my, 4:15?! That is a tough one. I just got up at 5 and feel like I am half asleep.
I take as many pictures as possible when I travel with Bill. It is a challenge! I read when I am still.
Enjoy your weekend!
I bet you see a lot of interesting things though when you do travel with Bill, but probably hardly ever time to stop except for the necessary.
My {childhood} home town!! So glad you had a great visit! Thanks for linking up!
It is? I really enjoyed our little time there. I am sure I could explore much, much more
Also….now following on Instagram! I’m “scrapbookmom17” – just so you know who that is who just followed you! It’s my favorite – so glad to connect with you there!
Yep, saw it, Adrienne, and am following back, too.
I agree…why would anyone burn books.
I take a book to the hairdresser too.
Nice answers.
ENJOY your weekend.

My Follow Friday Four Fill-In
About a year ago or so I remember I was definitely the odd one out at the hairdresser. Everyone was reading on the kindle, iPad, iPhone or such and I was sitting there with a good ol’ book 🙂
Oh well…books are the best. 🙂
🙂
I agree. I love my iPhone, but I wouldn’t trade my camera in either.
Good choice! Too much fun can be have with the real camera, right?
I love when I’m the passenger on road trips and I can take or edit photos. Usually when we go to my mom’s. The way there is so interesting to me. Fields and fields of sugar cane and small town America. One of these days I’m going to stop and take my time and create a photo journal. It’s always on my mind when we travel that way.
Looks like you had some yummy food and drinks!
I bet that would be a very interesting journal. Small town America is something that I still got to see, experience for sure.
Hmm.. I definitely agree with your fill-ins! And yes, even the burning books ones.
I haven’t been to Philly in ages, but I’ve had a lot of fun there in my day. And a lot of good food!
Philly was fun, but – pssst – I was a bit disappointed about the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich – maybe I just had a ‘bad’ one, but it was so, hmm, non spicy. But apart from that it was definitely fun and good food.
OH!!! dibs on the olives!!! So, is that shaken, or stirred? 🙂
looks like a great party indeed.
I would never trade in my DSLR now that I have one either. and I most certainly would not burn books! Oh my goodness, I cannot imagine a world without books.
You sound like David more and more – he always steals my olives. I had to fight to get one of those two 😀 It was shaken, and it was very good. And also a bit big especially for early evening and an empty stomach – oops!
I cannot imagine the world without books, photography or art either.
I dont understand burning books either
Some things cannot be understood…
dinner and drinks, what could be more lovely!!!
Oooooh, I could probably think of something, but I agree it is very, very good, paired with the right company 🙂
I like to read during road trips, too! It’s not often I’m not driving on a road trip anymore but when I was a kid, I ALWAYS read in the car, even if we were just driving around the city. Have a great week!
