Memories of Light chasing the shadows
glowing – brought to life by darkness,
in the dark, shining and thriving
yet sometimes – just a faint Memory
Memory of Light & Dark

And now for the Friday Four Fill ins ~ here is from Hilary’s blog:
Okay, you know the deal – Each week, I list four statements with a blank for you to fill in on your own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to me . If I use them, I will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Obi from Eloquent Obi. She came up with the last two statements! I REALLY NEED STATEMENTS! This week’s statements:
1) Weather change to rain (= low pressure) gives me a headache at best, a migraine at worst
2) I heard almonds prevents headaches or migraines. Haven’t tried it yet.
3) I wish for a wonderful long Memorial Day weekend (whatever kind of wonderful it may be :))
4) My least favorite color is green, it makes me feel yuk (sorry, got no other words for it).

Man, you take gorgeous photos.
I don’t get headaches but this kind of weather makes my ears weird. I wonder if that’s allergies. It’s definitely a pressured feeling and sometimes clogged.
Thank you so much, Tamara. That means a lot coming from an awesome photographer 🙂
Allergies, migraines – all very unnecessary and hindering productivity, right? I wish there was really something to get rid of them…
I have migraines, too. Weather is definitely a trigger. Oh my, green is my favourite colour! It makes me think of life and growth! It makes me feel content and peaceful. Blues and greys make me feel calm. I absolutely love your art. You have an exceptional eye.
Hi Annie, I probably should have said ‘green on me’ – as in clothes or on the walls of my home etc. But the green outside – gorgeousness! Blue – well, but grey, yes.
Thank you very much for your compliment 🙂
Your first photo is so inky black ~ very dramatic! I’m looking forward to the long weekend, too. We are planning to take a day trip to the mountains. I hope to use my new Nikon micro lens (the 105 that you recommended). Have an enjoyable weekend!
It sure is, Cathy, but it helps bring out the shimmering light on that little drop and leaf. I was just ‘fooling’ around processing the pic and ended up with this, because I loved it.
I wish you a wonderful long weekend with lots of photos and even more fun with your new lens!
Oooh…I love the notion of linking memories and shadows! Wonderful!
Thanks a lot, Adrienne. I was really pondering a lot how to do this with your prompt, when all of a sudden – this happened. I’m glad you like it.
Now that first one is really wicked. LOVE it. The background almost seems to have a face in it. 🙂
Thanks, Debbi. I think I am in a little bit darker mood these days… A face, huh? The things you see truly amaze me.
I love your photos! As I got older I did not suffer migraines as often. I know my triggers and can usually stay away from them. One of my triggers is wearing a hat. I pinch my neck and it gives me a migraine, so no hats.
Hi Judy, that is exactly what I remember from my mom. It must have been around the time of her menopause that she finally did not have to deal with those pesky headaches anymore. Sort of looking forward to that… I can see how a hat could give you a headache, I know that when I pin up my hair for too long or too firm – then I’ll get headaches too 🙁
Those are some amazing photos. I love how you captured the shadows and the gloominess – not sure if that is the right word but it’s all that comes to mind right now. Either way, love the images.
I’ve been noticing more and more how the change in weather/pressure makes me feel yucky and headachy. Last night I had a blasting headache – came out of nowhere and nothing helped except crawling into bed. Luckily, this morning I feel much better.
Hehehe – if gloominess is not right, I don’t care, I think I know exactly what you mean. And it is why I love that first picture so much.
Ooooh – I hope that headachy, yucky feeling due to weather passes quickly and will not be a re-occurring thing for you, Susi. Because it sucks! Great that you’re feeling better just in time to enjoy our long weekend 🙂
Such a magical “feel” to these. Beautiful.
Thanks, Kathy – I love magical!!
I never heard about almonds for migraines, just chocolate. Not that chocolate works for me anyway.
You have some great photos!
Have a great weekend!
Ugh…I meant caffeine, not chocolate. Must be a Freudian slip. LOL
Hahaha – I am sure it was, Yvonne. Who doesn’t love chocolate?!
I didn’t know either. And I haven’t tried almonds yet either. I read it on another blog the other day. But I do like almonds so I might just try it…
Thank you, Yvonne, and you have a wonderful weekend, too!
Hi Claudia. As usual, you have paired the photos and words so well.
One of the meanings of my name is “the dark.” I have always loved the darkness. A whole different world comes to life in it.
I take the prescription drug Imitrex for migraines. It works well.
Hope you have a fabulous long weekend. 🙂 m & jb
Really?! Maureen means ‘the dark’? In which language or interpretation? Or is it a middle name? Whatever it is, it is interesting.
Yeah, I don’t know about darkness. My older brother used to play pranks on me in the dark as a kid, which kind of stuck with me a little…
I’ll have to check out that Imitrex and ask my doc about it. Thank you.
Hope you enjoy our long weekend, too!
So moody and dramatic looking. That first one is really fabulous.
Serious you don’t like green? I love blue and green in almost any shade.
It’s yellow that’s my least favorite color.
Thank you very much, Ida. It is exactly what I was trying to create.
Yep, sorry, don’t like green – in clothing. Most of the time, there are exceptions, of course, but in general – nope.
Yellow is a pretty close follow up to green for me as well 🙂
I have never heard that about almonds.. I have to try it….
Let me know how you go, Hilary. I haven’t tried it yet, but I plan to…
LOVE these pics! Really loving the light and shadows. And you made perfect words with them!!!
Yeah, this weather has left me with headaches, and now, a cold. bummed.
and I have been munching on almonds a lot this week……guess I will see if that makes the headaches go away.
I feel ya — I love green in nature; but I do NOT own a single article of green clothing.
and I probably never will. I just find trying to get the right shade that looks good on you, is tough.
(probably due to the red hair tones and freckles I got)
Thanks, Les! You know how I can struggle with (English) words…
Knock on wood – we don’t have nice weather, but it is o.k. for my head so far. Too bad you got a cold, I am fairly sure almonds definitely won’t help with that 😉
I don’t know… no, I don’t think I own anything green either. The closest I do have is more kind of a turquoise , but pure green – brrrrh
Migraines are sometimes predictable…like when the weather changes. Green is my favorite color. If you came to visit you would probably get a migraine.
Sometimes, Patricia, but I always live in hope it doesn’t happen. Did your weather just change for the worse? Well, I hope it changes back quickly.
